Originally set for a March 31, 2023, release, the post-apocalyptic feature underwent three delays in schedule: it was pushed first to September 22, 2023, then again to March 8, 2024, and finally, it was scheduled for a June 28, 2024, release. The movie will be opening opposite Kevin Costner’s western epic Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1.

The Cast And Crew
Oscar-winning actors Lupita Nyong’o and Alex Wolff have joined the cast of the movie, adding their expertise in the horror genre. As previously stated, while the film is the third installment of the franchise, it will not be a direct sequel to the two that came before it. Instead, Day One will be a spin-off prequel navigating the utter pandemonium of society’s initial collapse.
Who’d Directing A Quiet Place: Day One
Day One promises excitement and a fresh approach to the franchise, even without John Krasinski directing. Krasinski remains involved as a co-writer and producer. He initially had Jeff Nichols in mind for the third movie, but Michael Sarnoski has taken the helm after Nichols’ departure.
Sarnoski, known for the acclaimed film “Pig,” brings an intriguing perspective to the project. This film reunites him with actor Alex Wolff, potentially establishing a long-term actor-director partnership.
