The release date for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” remains uncertain due to delays caused by
writers’ and actors’ strikes. The creators, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are working hard to make it
great, but there’s no set release date yet. In the meantime, you can rewatch “Across the Spider-Verse” as
you wait for more answers about the sequel’s shocking ending.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Release date
The intended release date of the film was March 29, 2024.
The same creative team that worked on the first two films simultaneously is returning for the threequel:
writers Lord, Miller, and David Callaham, directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K.
Thompson.

There was always a chance of delays, and it’s official now that fans will have to wait a little while longer to
see Miles Morales on television.
For what duration? It is possible that we are discussing late 2024 or early 2025, but no formal
confirmation has been made as of yet.
The Cast And Crew
While the cast for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” hasn’t been officially confirmed, we can expect
the return of several characters. This likely includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld
as Gwen Stacy, Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Issa Rae as Spider-Woman, and Daniel Kaluuya as
Spider-Punk. Other returning characters may include Jason Schwartzman, Jake Johnson, Karan Soni, Brian
Tyree Henry, and Luna Lauren Vélez.
The end of “Across the Spider-Verse” suggests the return of Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni
Parker, so we may see Nicolas Cage, John Mulaney, and Kimiko Glenn reprise their roles.
The sequel introduced more Spider-People, like Andy Samberg’s Scarlet Spider and Amandla Stenberg’s
Spider-Byte. Director Dos Santos mentioned an idea involving a plastic variant of Spider-Man, but it was
eventually scrapped to maintain the emotional depth of Miles’ story.
The creators are keeping the Spider-Verse filled with surprises, and there are still more Spider-People to
explore in this imaginative saga.
The Plot
The official plot for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is not available yet. The ending of “Across
the Spider-Verse” teases an intriguing setup where Miles is stuck in Earth-42, a universe without a Spider-
Man, facing a different version of himself as the Prowler. The movie was inspired by “The Parent Trap” and
“The Prince and the Pauper.”
Gwen assembles her own Spider-Team to rescue Miles, who needs to return to his universe to prevent the
death of his father, orchestrated by The Spot. The film is expected to revolve around a conflict between
Miles, Gwen, and their allies against Miguel, Jessica, and the Spider Society, possibly taking the story to
uncharted territories in the Spider-Verse.
The title, “Beyond the Spider-Verse,” hints at exploring elements beyond the known Spider-Verse. The
movie may introduce additional versions of Gwen Stacy, with the potential for a storyline inspired by the
comics’ Gwen Stacy death arc. The cast remains tight-lipped about the details, with Shameik Moore
expressing excitement about what’s to come.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Trailer
Unfortunately, not yet, and given the delays, a trailer for Beyond the Spider-Verse is much farther off than
it was previously.
When Across the Spider-Verse was scheduled to premiere in October 2022, we first saw a teaser in
December 2021. The first trailer was released in December 2022, just before the film’s release in June
2023.
