The Plot

Fool Me Once is an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name and follows Maya Stern

grieving the loss of her husband Joe, only to see him reappear in the nanny-cam she set up to watch over

her young daughter.

Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce is leading the homicide investigation into Joe’s death, whilst also battling

secrets of his own. Maya’s niece and nephew are dealing with their own mother’s murder, which occurred

a few months earlier, and they’re on the hunt for answers. Is there any chance the two cases are

connected?

Harlan Coben describes the series as a “pulse-pounder” and says it is “a shocking story of how secrets

and deceit have the power to bring people together while simultaneously tearing them apart.” We can’t

wait to see it!

What has Harlan Coben said about Netflix’s Fool Me Once?

Recently, author Harlan Coben spoke candidly with Radio Times about his collaboration with Michelle

Keegan on Fool Me Once, and it sounds like an absolute delight.

“She is amazing. Everyone adored her, he added, but she’s also a fantastic person. Having her as your

number one and knowing that she could contribute something nice to the set every day was amazing.

She is precisely what you anticipated her to be. She is just amazing.

Although I clearly don’t know her as well as my British peers, I did know a little bit about her previously.

When we were talking about who should play the part, I really went all in, and she came through for me;

she’s a pleasure to deal with and puts in a lot of effort.”
