With the release of 3 Body Problem on Netflix rapidly approaching, here’s another look at the science fiction adaption. The most recent teaser concentrates on the mystery rather than the story’s highly immersive virtual reality game, which was the main focus of the previous one. Basically, Benedict Wong’s character is attempting to decipher the significance of a large number of vanished scientists. Here are the 3 Body Problem trailer.

Naturally, the show is based on the novel written by Cixin Liu, which was only the first of a trilogy. According to Netflix, the premise of the show is as follows:
The story begins in 1960s China when a young woman makes a fateful decision that reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature as we know them inexplicably unravel, a tight-knit group of brilliant scientists must join forces with an unflinching detective to stop humanity’s greatest threat.

Showrunners Alexander Woo, David Benioff, and D.B. Weiss are in charge of the show, which has an incredible cast that includes Wong, Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, and Jonathan Pryce. The former team is best known for another epic adaptation, Game of Thrones on HBO. Woo provided a brief overview of the team’s strategy for adapting the novel 3 Body Problem for television in a post on Netflix’s Tudum website.
“What we are hoping to do is to convey the experience — if not necessarily the exact details — of the novel onto the screen,” he explained. “What stayed, we hope, is the sense of wonderment and the sense of scope, of scale, where the problems are no longer just the problems of an individual or even a nation, but of an entire species.”
The new trailer reveal was actually part of CES 2024 — which makes a certain kind of sense given 3 Body Problem’s sleek, futuristic VR headset. The show starts streaming on March 21st.
