HBO has not yet revealed the plot of the upcoming season to the public. Fans of the show, however, were relieved in November 2023 when Nicole Kidman made an appearance at an unannounced fan event to confirm that a new episode was being developed. The third part was confirmed when the actress stated at the time, “I loved Big Little Lies, because it sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children, and I was thinking I was going to retire, and then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show.”
