Jennifer Lopez takes on the roles of writer, producer, and sole financier of the film, as revealed in her interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas from Nuyrocian Productions joins as a producer. Renowned music video director Dave Meyers, known for his collaborations with J-Lo on videos like “I’m Real” and “All I Have,” directs the musical. In a press conference, Meyers discussed his experience reuniting with Lopez and shared insights into the creative process behind conceptualizing the visual elements for her upcoming studio album.

J-Lo revealed This Is Me…Now: A Love Story in November 2023 with a teaser video in which she states that she has desired to be in love since she was a young child. While revealing nothing about the narrative, the teaser does highlight the central theme of the movie.
