Challengers, starring Austin Butler, Tommy Faist, and Zendaya, is scheduled for release on April 26 and is expected to captivate viewers. Directed by Celine Song and written by Justin Kuritzkes, the sports drama offers a fascinating look into the complex relationships between its primary protagonists. The movie is produced by Luca Guadagnino, Zendaya, Rachel O’Connor, and Amy Pascal.
Zendaya trained with a professional tennis instructor for three months, according to producer Guadagnino, who made this claim earlier in an interview with Variety. The producer said, “She’s amazing. Really, wow. Her doubles are hardly used at all in the film as it was edited. She is quite talented.” Brad Gilbert, a former tennis player, also provided consulting work for the movie.
