The upcoming “The Spiderwick Chronicles” TV show is set to closely follow the plot of the book series penned by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. Centered around Jared and Simon, accompanied by their sister Mallory, the story unfolds as they relocate from New York to Michigan, settling into their family’s ancestral home, The Spiderwick Estate. However, their seemingly ordinary move unveils a hidden reality, granting them access to a perilous world inhabited by fairies and other mystical creatures from folklore.

With eight novels comprising the series, it remains uncertain whether each season of the TV adaptation will correspond to one book or if the initial season will focus solely on the events of 2003’s “The Field Guide.” Similar to the 2008 film adaptation which covered the narrative of the first book, the initial episodes of “The Spiderwick Chronicles” TV series on Roku may follow suit, bringing viewers into the enchanting realms of the first installment.
