The protagonist of the Turkish Netflix drama series As the Crow Flies is Asli, a youthful and enthusiastic admirer of renowned newsroom anchor Lale. But as they say, you should never meet your heroes, and she finds out after a coincidental meeting that Lale is not the kind and polished presenter she had assumed she was. Naturally, Asli chooses to disregard the advice and pursues a career in the company, eventually working as an intern to gain further intimacy with Lale. However, this is an unfavorable situation for all parties involved. Thus far, the show has received a great deal of mixed reviews. IMDb gives it a mediocre 6.3/10, with some critics pointing out tale flaws and shoddy writing while others applaud the characters and premise. Decider says you should “skip it” since the show went too dramatic.

Who plays Lale Kiran in As The Crow Flies?
Lale is played by 37-year-old Turkish star Birce Akalay. Birce is known for her strong performances including in Turkish series like Yer Gok Ask, Hayat Bazen Tatlidir, Babil, and Siyah Beyaz Ask.
She started her career with a role in the Turkish television series Asi.
