Moving on to the sequel of Robert Pattinson’s 2022 “The Batman” film, fans can mark their calendars for its release on October 2, 2026, following a one-year delay. While details about the sequel remain scarce, it was initially announced alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU in early 2023. Gunn clarified that “The Batman – Part II” will be part of Matt Reeves’ envisioned “crime saga” trilogy, which includes the aforementioned “Penguin” TV series. Reeves chose to keep “The Batman” separate from the broader DCU.
Despite this separation, Gunn assured fans that “The Batman – Part II” will receive full support from Warner Bros. and won’t be treated as a secondary project. Additionally, Gunn and Safran are developing their own Batman film titled “The Brave and the Bold” for the DCU, slated for a release between 2026 or 2027.
