Set in the year 2200, private detective Aline Ruby and her android partner Carlos Rivera are hired by a wealthy businessman to track down a notorious hacker. On Mars, they descend deep into the underbelly of the planet’s capital city, where they uncover a darker story of brain farms, corruption, and a missing girl who holds a secret about all the robots that threatens to change the face of the universe.

Mars Express is directed by the French animation writer and filmmaker Jérémie Périn, making his first feature film after directing and animating the TV series “Lastman” previously, plus a few other short films. The screenplay is written by Jérémie Périn and Laurent Sarfati. Produced by Gaëlle Bayssière and Didier Creste. This initially premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival (read our review) and Annecy Film Festival earlier this year. Gébéka Films just released Mars Express in French theatres in November 2023.
