MCU’s Fantastic Four: release date, trailer, cast and everything we know

The announcement of a new reboot of The Fantastic Four as one of the initial Marvel movies following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox’s entertainment assets in 2019 is far from coincidental. Back in 1961, the launch of the Marvel Universe, spearheaded by Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, was marked by the release of Fantastic Four #1. This iconic comic not only introduced the superhero team but also established the foundational tone for all subsequent Marvel narratives. In this article, we discuss about MCU’s Fantastic Four: release date, trailer, cast and more. For more information about the movie click here.

Marvel Studios has unveiled the primary cast for The Fantastic Four:

Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) stars as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, possessing elasticity and genius intellect.
Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) portrays Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, with the ability to turn invisible and manipulate objects.
Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) takes on the role of Johnny Storm/Human Torch, controlling fire and flight.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Marvel’s The Punisher) plays Benjamin Grimm/The Thing, with immense strength and a rock-like appearance.
Julia Garner (Ozark) joins as Silver Surfer, a departure from canon as Norrin Radd’s lover, Shalla-Bal.
H.E.R.B.I.E., the robot, is hinted to appear, and Silver Surfer’s inclusion hints at the imminent arrival of Galactus.

The Fantastic Four Plot

There are some questions that we just won’t be able to address at this time because the movie is still in its early stages. Among them is this one. The founding story of the team was covered in three of the four previous Fantastic Four films. According to Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, the relaunch of the MCU would omit the origin entirely, just like the latest Spider-Man trilogy did.

The Fantastic Four movie has been rumored to be set in the 1960s, and the newly revealed teaser graphic features a retro-style logo that could support those notions. But as of right now, that isn’t verified.

The Fantastic Four will be a ‘big pillar’ of the MCU’s future

Marvel requires new leaders in the absence of Captain America and Iron Man. Might the Fantastic Four members take over as the MCU’s new torchbearers? Feige claims that Marvel has ambitious ambitions for the Fantastic Four. Feige told EW, “We intend for that [The Fantastic Four] to be a major pillar of the MCU going forward, just as they’ve been in the comics for 50 or 60 years.”
