A Kanguva Update: Tamil superstar Suriya gave the best gift to his fans that they could ask for on Sunday on the occasion of Tamil New Year, Puthandu.
The actor shared on X the new poster for his upcoming film, Kanguva. The poster shows the actor in dual avatars: one is of a tribesman, and the other is of a gun-wielding urban corporate guy dressed in a suit.
The actor wrote, “Happy Tamil New Year. Happy Vishu with all your heart. Happy Ambedkar Jayanthi #Kanguva”.

The movie offers viewers a real, unvarnished, and innovative visual experience filled with intense acting, human emotions, and massively action-packed scenes never seen in previous films.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the soundtrack for the movie while Vetri Palanisamy handled the cinematography. Earlier, Bobby Deol’s initial appearance from the movie was also revealed. Bobby’s first impression as a villain was incredibly exciting.
Suriya confirms double role in Kanguva with new poster
In the poster, we can see Suriya in two different avatars. One is the look everyone has seen of him with dreadlocks, dressed in warrior gear, with tattoos all over his body, and holding a sword in his hand. The other shows him with a slick hairstyle and dressed in a suit with a gun in his hand. The two avatars seem to be facing off in the poster. The new poster confirms Kanguva will be released in 2024 without revealing a release date yet. Sharing it, he wrote, “Happy Ambedkar Jayanthi,” in various languages.
Suriya will soon have a cameo in Sudha Kongara’s Sarfira, starring Akshay Kumar, which is a remake of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. Lokesh Kanagaraj also revealed that he will make a spin-off on Rolex, Suriya’s character in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
