Ariel Donoghue from Wolf Like Me, Marnie McPhail from Dream Scenario, Hayley Mills from Pollyanna, and Alison Pill from Star Trek: Picard will also be joining Hartnett. Trap 2024: Plot

The official synopsis of Trap reads as follows:

A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.

Trap 2024: Trailer

On April 18, Warner Brothers released the first trailer for Trap, which was released almost a week after the movie debuted some behind-the-scenes material at Cinemacon. A father is seen escorting his daughter to a performance featuring her favourite performer, Lady Raven (Saleka Shyamalan), at the start of the movie. Everything is going well until the father begins to notice that there are a disproportionate number of police officers outside the venue. From a vendor, he finds out that the police are setting up a trap to apprehend The Butcher, a serial killer they think is going to be at the event. We quickly find out that our main character now has a possible victim imprisoned in his own basement, thus, this is bad news for him.

The Director

Veteran thriller director M. Night Shyamalan, whose distinctive screenplay and directing style have earned him both widespread praise and criticism, is the writer, director, and producer of Trap. Shyamalan established himself as a prominent filmmaker in his youth with three highly regarded movies: Signs, Unbreakable, and The Sixth Sense. His subsequent releases, including The Happening, The Last Airbender, and After Earth, did not enjoy the same level of critical acclaim. Thank goodness, Shyamalan is making a big comeback in the spotlight because of hits like the enormously popular Split.
