Ultraman: Rising features Ken Sato (voiced by Christopher Sean), a baseball star who returns to Tokyo during a new wave of monster attacks. He takes on the role of Ultraman, following in his father’s footsteps. Ken faces various challenges, including becoming the adoptive parent of a baby kaiju. A new trailer reveals his struggle to balance protecting the city and caring for the infant monster.

Ken Sato’s journey as Ultraman involves mastering his new powers. He faces self-doubt and struggles against each monster threat. In one scene, he battles a dragon-like kaiju over a stadium and retrieves its egg, which hatches immediately. The trailer shows Ken embracing his role as the kaiju’s “mother” and using his Ultraman abilities to manage the baby kaiju, with mixed success. He learns to seek help from friends, realizing that managing multiple responsibilities can be rewarding.

Ken’s story also involves a shadowy threat aiming to exploit the baby kaiju. Ultraman confronts a private military led by Dr. Onda (voiced by Keone Young), who seeks to capture the child by any means necessary, including deploying armed aircraft in busy city areas. The bond between Ken and the baby kaiju helps them face various enemies, from other monsters to a massive sword-wielding mech.
